These alcove shelves are essentially the same as floating oak shelves but can be supplied with discreet alcove shelf fittings. These are positioned underneath the shelf at each end and are made from the same material that the shelf is to help with blending in. Some customers paint the support brackets the same colour as their wall to help hide the brackets. An alternative is to simply order floating shelves cut to width.
